This policy explains what data wipescreen (wipescreen.site) collects and how it is used. We wrote it to be specific about what actually happens on this site, not a generic template, since most of what this site does involves no data collection at all.

What happens when you use a tool
Nothing is sent to us
No image, selection, or interaction with these tools is sent to our servers, stored, or logged.
Your session, your device
Your custom color choices, warmth slider position, and fullscreen state exist only in your browser’s memory for that session and are discarded the moment you close or reload the tab.
What we track in aggregate
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site performs. This data is aggregated and does not identify you individually. It typically includes information like which page was viewed, roughly how long a visit lasted, and general technical details like browser type and approximate location at the country or region level. It does not include the specific colors or settings you chose inside any tool.
What we do not do
- We do not require an account or login for any tool or page on this site.
- We do not sell visitor data to third parties.
- We do not use the tools to collect or store any image, color, or file you interact with.
- We do not run cross-site advertising trackers.

Retention, minors, and international visitors
Data retention
Since the tools do not collect or store any data related to your usage, there is nothing to retain from tool interactions. Aggregate analytics is retained only as long as needed to understand site performance trends. Email correspondence is retained as long as reasonably needed to address your inquiry and for our records.
Children’s privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the tools require no account or personal information to use, this is a low-risk area, but we state it here for completeness.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding any personal data associated with you, including the right to request what data exists, request its deletion, or object to certain processing. Because we collect minimal personal data by design, most requests resolve quickly.
International visitors
This site is accessible globally. If you access it from outside the country where our hosting infrastructure is located, your request and any minimal associated data, such as standard web request logs, may be processed in a different country than your own.
Common questions
Does wipescreen see the colors I choose in the tools?
No. Your color choice, warmth slider position, and fullscreen state exist only in your browser's memory for that session. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Do I need to accept cookies to use the tools?
No. None of the five tools depend on cookies to function. You can block all cookies in your browser and every tool still works exactly the same.
Does installing the app change what data is collected?
No. Installing wipescreen as a Progressive Web App, described on our App page, does not change data collection in any way.
How do I request my data be deleted?
Email us using the Contact page. Since the tools collect no personal data by design, most requests relate only to email correspondence, which we can locate and delete quickly.
Does this policy cover the guides and articles too?
Yes. This policy applies site-wide, including every tool page, guide, and article, not just the homepage.
